Luntz’s new CEO
Dr. Marc Wucherer
First stop visit to China
On January 16, 2025, Dr. Marc Wucherer, the newly appointed CEO of Luntz, successfully completed his first trip to China as CEO. China is the first stop on its global tour, which demonstrates the strategic position of the Chinese market. During the intensive 3-day trip, Dr. Marc Wucherer had extensive and in-depth exchanges with clients, partners, and Lenz China employees. Dr. Marc Wucherer’s trip aims to comprehensively understand the Chinese market situation, delve into customer needs, and further explore opportunities and potential for cooperation.
Insight into customer needs and win-win challenges
During this trip to China, Dr. Marc Wucherer deeply practiced the concept of “customer first”, and through in-depth face-to-face communication, gained insight into customer needs, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation and development.
On January 14th and 16th, Dr. Marc Wucherer, accompanied by Mr. Xie Weidong, the President of Luntz East Asia, and the leadership team, visited two important clients who have been cooperating globally for many years. Both sides discussed how to jointly respond to the Chinese market, strengthen local cooperation, and further explore opportunities and potential for cooperation.
During the discussion, both Lenz and the client realized that the Chinese market has a huge and personalized market demand. Through close cooperation, they can better respond to the needs of end-users quickly, work together to cope with changes and challenges in the local market, and stand out in the fiercely competitive market environment.
Putting Chinese customers first and implementing actions
On January 15th, Dr. Marc Wucherer held an employee meeting at the East Asia headquarters Shanghai Lingang factory, sharing his personal situation, career, and the challenges currently faced by Lenz China employees. By 2032, Lenz will celebrate his 85th birthday. In the next 6 to 7 years, through our series of positive and effective actions, Lenz will be able to radiate new vitality and energy at the age of 85, continuing to write a brilliant chapter with a new attitude.
During this trip, Dr. Marc Wucherer made China the first stop of his global visit, fully demonstrating Lenz’s high regard for the Chinese market and his goal of deepening the Chinese market and expanding market share. Dr. Marc Wucherer stated that the Chinese market is very large and highly competitive, and achieving this goal requires collaboration and action from every Lenz person, including global teams, in order to succeed. He has confidence in the Chinese team and promises to provide full support to China.
Subsequently, Dr. Marc Wucherer, accompanied by Mr. Xie Weidong, President of Luntz East Asia, and the leadership team, visited the Lingang factory and inspected the newly completed localized production line last year. Last year, following the successful localization of i550 size 6 frequency converters and i700 size 1-2 frequency converters, Lenz China also achieved localized production of i510/i550 size 1-3 frequency converters. We have been implementing a localization strategy all the way from electromechanical products to electronic products. This not only greatly shortens product delivery time, but also makes our products more in line with the needs of the Chinese market.
Dr. Marc Wucherer emphasized that we need to continue accelerating the localization process of our products, especially the localization of core components.
Joining hands with partners to deepen cooperation and create excellence
On January 16th, Dr. Marc Wucherer and his team visited the partners of the new project in Lenz, aiming to understand the latest progress of the project and promote its smooth implementation and sustainable development. The general manager of the company led its core team to receive this visit. After the company introduction session, Dr. Marc Wucherer visited the factory, delved into the production line to understand the production process, and then reviewed the quality management system with the project team. Dr. Marc Wucherer pointed out that with the successful implementation of the Lenz localization project on this production line, we will increase production in the future, further deepen our cooperation, and jointly respond to the demands and challenges of the Chinese market.
This CEO’s trip to China demonstrated the concept of “customer first” through practical actions. By delving into the front lines of customers, listening to their voices, and understanding their pain points, Lenz will further optimize its products and services to enhance customer satisfaction. We believe that under the leadership of Dr. Marc Wucherer, the global team at Lenz will collaborate and bring more value to our customers, driving Lenz towards new heights of glory.
